Before You Arrive
The PCR nasal swab test is our preferred pre-camp test. We have seen some areas with reduced accessibility of this on demand. Your reason for requesting this test is that the kids will be in congregate housing; for any locations asking for a specific justification, that's it. If a PCR test is unavailable, a rapid test is much preferred to an antigen test.
To document your camper's results, you may:
Print and bring/send with your camper
Email (firstname.lastname@example.org, please!) with the subject heading "Test Results"
If you need a later time, just let us know by email! If you need an earlier time (for dates other than 6/27), please email!
Where to Go
26 Chase Road, Thompson, CT, 06277. Staff will be stationed from the main entry to the office; please check in at the main building and then we'll point you around to your dorms!
What to Bring In
At main building check-in, please bring to the registration setup any medications for your camper, any forms you haven't yet submitted, and any device they'd like to leave at camp. If you'd like to leave cash for them to use at the camp store during the week in our safe, you may bring that in as well! You can leave all luggage in the car for main-building check in; once you're all good with us, then you will loop around to the dorm and one adult can help the camper unpack there!
At the Dorms
Staff will be there to help every step of the way. We are hoping to keep traffic flowing smoothly so kids can settle in; please allow us to help in any way we can.

Reminders About Calls
1. Counselors are instructed not to speak to a parent on a child's phone in the dorm, even if they are homesick. This is at my request! They have many children to oversee and I am often fortunate enough to know more "big picture" info than any one staff member. If your child has a need or concern you'd like to share with staff, please call the camp phone (numbers above)! Reviewing the linked parent page of our website helps equip you to support your child, too!
2. Simultaneously, please note that if you call the camp phone, I may not be the one to answer ! We have a wonderful Office Manager, Billy, alongside a team of directors including Cody and Eric. All of us are ready and willing to chat. If you must speak to me specifically, I'll return your call as promptly as I can if I am not the one to answer!
If you need an earlier or later pickup, please let us know. Note that campers leaving later than 3:00pm will still need to vacate their room during the morning "pack and clean" time so we may prepare for new faces!
The planned route for NYC pickups at Grand Central Station is:
Van departs campus 10:30am
Crew catches the 12:39pm train
Train arrives to GCS at 2:50p,
Camper exchange near the clock - look for staff in CSW tie dye shirts!
Crew catches the 3:02pm train
Train arrives to New Haven at 5:17pm
Van returns to campus around 7:15pm with a stop for food along the way
See you all SOON!
